We are Ben and Laura Harrison, a husband/wife team of professional photographers. Our specialties include Wedding Photography, Destination Wedding Photography, Senior, Baby, and Child Portrait Photography ... and our creative, unique approach has made our studio one of the most sought after in the Midwest. We have truly been blessed by the Lord to do what we love and find joy in our work, day in and day out. A couple of weekends ago we were in downtown Chicago for Larry + Erica's gorgeous wedding.  We started at the historic Palmer House Hilton (which was absolutely beautiful, by the way) ... and then headed through the never-busy-on-a-saturday downtown Chi-town and made it to Holy Name Cathedral a cool 5 minutes prior to Erica's grand entrance ... nothing like spontaneity to get the heart pumping :)  

After the ceremony we went down to Shedd Aquarium for some shots of the bride and groom with the fabulous Chicago skyline ... and with about 15 minutes of daylight (gotta love daylight savings time for people who aren't farmers) and bitter winds (yes, the windy city lived up to its nickname) Larry and Erica were amazingly patient with us as we got some great shots (well worth braving the weather, eh).

Then we headed to the Sears Tower to have the reception in the swankaliscious Metropolitan Club on the 66th floor with amazing views of the city.  This venue is amazing (for those interested) ... great food, amazing service, a security check:), and did I mention the view?  Anyways, thank you Larry + Erica for having us be a part of your day and we wish you the best!

dave + ashley are getting married august 1, 2009 and we were able to do a fall lifestyle session with them last week.  dave and ashley are teachers and it showed with their personalities ... I guess when you hang around kids all day you can't take yourself too seriousy (in a good way) ... we had so much fun joking around with them and documenting their love for one another ...  

we had the opportunity to photograph alexa last week and had an absolute blast!  as you can see from these pics she had quite the arsenal of expressions that had us all cracking up (exspecially the "smelling" face at the bottom) ... and her parents are also some of the coolest peeps we know so it was an all around great time ... enjoy!

A couple weekend ago we photographed Bill + Jenn's wedding down in the Kalamazoo area, and despite the chilly weather, the rain held off and it turned out to be a decent fall day.  The ceremony took place at St Annes and the reception took place at Brook Lodge ... thank you guys for having us be a part of your day!

Last week we were over in Chicago for a lifestyle session with nate + kwynn and had an awesome time with these two crazy cats.  They were definitely troopers as we walked them all over getting these great shots ... but it was definitely worth it.  It was so great meeting you two and we look forward to your wedding!
